Nicknamed the ‘E’-Class Gold because of the gold tipping above the reel seat these rods have a tremendous following for their build quality and strength.
The blank utilises 40t carbons to give smooth, crisp actions, slim diameters and good weight, balance and feel. The blank if wrapped in a different cosmetic that we pioneered – an SEA-3k cloth that produces a rather unique blank look and feel. As with other rods in the Free Spirit ranges this has a ‘Perdurable’ finish meaning we do not cover the carbon with paints or lacquers designed to conceal any imperfections but rather ensure the blanks are finished and ground so you can admire the quality of material and finish.
The rods are fitted with a clone seat in the same SEA-3k finish so it matches the blank and Fuji reel fittings and stainless steel collars and butt cap. The abbreviated model features part shrink/part EVA butt grip whilst we use ‘A’ grade cork on the full handled models.
The range features a wide choice of test curves from 2½lb to the extreme range 3½lb SU model to cover every eventuality. As with all our carp ranges we want to give choice so offer a full range of matching shorter carp rods, spod and marker rods, stalking and surface rods and landing nets.
We keep a full range of blanks and components to custom build ‘E’-Class rods to your own specification. This is done by us in the UK at a small additional charge.

Blank and rod weights may vary slightly from those quoted. We use stainless steel collars and butt caps for durability which will add a little to the rod’s overall weight but being on the handle should not adversely affect its balance.
